Employment: BLS May 2025 · Published scores · Mar – Aug 2026
Up to three improving and three weakening occupations, selected from a reviewed pool of 49 careers, not the full occupation catalog. Each has at least 250,000 U.S. workers and a net change of at least 2 points across six consecutive monthly scores.
We rank qualifying changes by magnitude, then employment, alternate improving and weakening, and include each reviewed career family once. Production and repair roles share a family to keep the selection varied. Fewer rows appear when fewer qualify.
Changes compare the first and last published scores shown: six observations span five elapsed months. These are score movements, not employment growth. Published history is not restated to a single source vintage; a common methodology and matching available vintage metadata are required.
Compare where postings gained and lost ground across career fields in the published monthly report.
The chart shows the highest and lowest percentage changes among the 47 fields compared. Posting activity is a demand signal, not a count of hires.
